For Story Writing last week Mrs Dijkstra gave as a long strip of card and half a page of stickers. We wrote a sticker story by firstly thinking of an animal and then described it using two adjectives. Next we told what it did, where, when and why. The purpose was to write an interesting story by adding in and adding on, more detail. We not only stretched our sentence, we also stretched our brain to think and elaborate on our original idea.
Welcome to Room 24's blog for 2018. We are an energetic Year 2 class and our teacher is Mrs Dijkstra. We are looking forward to working together and learning lots of exciting and new things this year! Check our blog regularly to see what we have been up to. We would love to read your comments.

Mrs Dijkstra told me all about your interesting story by adding in and adding on, more detail. How you stretched your sentences and stretched your brains! I bet they are amazing. I will come down and read them.
